Lincoln Road Race-April 11, 2010

Well, I could hardly sleep last night because I was so excited for my first road race! It was in Arkansas and had some awesome curvy roads, steep uphills and downhills, dogs barking at us and lots of cows mooing. I had some real technical problems today and had to stop twice to try and get my bike repaired. My brakes were rubbing on my front and back tires the entire race but I never quit! I need to thank the Tulsa Tough riders who stopped to help me!! They rock! I think I need to have a chat with my mechanic (if I had one...LOL)! Anyway, I placed 2nd and loved the hills! I am ready for another road race it was so much fun! I actually got a trophy this time and not a stuffed cow! It was the best!

  1. What a great job Luke! Keep it up!

  2. Hey Luke! It's Jenny, here. I am so excited about your riding experiences. It is awesome to read about you and your recent races on your blog!

I sure miss you at Keystone and especially in Art class, but I am so proud of your commitment to your passion. You are a wonderful young man, a great son, and one of my favorite people in the world.

Keep up the great work and be sure and have some fun with your friends and those really fun parents of yours!

Your are destined for greatness, Luke, and you are a great boy in the midst of of becoming a great young man! I am proud to call you my friend!
